Bandicut 3.5.0.577, problem handling high data rate videos

Mon Oct 21, 2019 3:30 pm

Upon opening the file, either "Main window control" frozen/irresponsive playback controls or simply app crash... Or failed with one of the following messages:
"Encoding failed.(0xc)"
"Failed to use High-speed mode because the file is too big. Please use Encoding mode."

Sample files:
(generated in the below manner)

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -i "INPUT_5120x2880@30" -an -c:v magicyuv -pred median "OUTPUT.avi"

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -i "INPUT_5120x2880@30" -an -c:v libx264rgb -preset ultrafast -qp 0 -x264-params "keyint=1" "OUTPUT.avi"
And these.

Changing the container format doesn't seem to make any difference. (tried: MKV)

Sample preview:
Similar to the most part of this (cockpit view car racing), though not the same.

Such files are so large that you simply wouldn't attempt to download... unless there's a strong reason for you to.

The exact files are not needed as the problem can be reliably reproduced with random inputs (of similar scene complexity) generated in the described manner. (guys in the development team know what to do)

Hello,

What is the file size of the video?
Could you let us know the file information of the video file?
Image

Did you use the "High-speed mode" or "Encoding Mode'?
Do you have a problem when you cut the video through the "Encoding mode" of Bandicut?
Are you just trying to cut a large video or convert it to an .MKV format?

I don't remember. Expect file sizes over a few ten GB...

I believe the original post already gives enough information.

It occurs upon opening the file...
